“I didn’t know then what I wanted, but the ache for it was palpable.” – Sue Monk Kidd, The Mermaid Chair

Why You Should Read It:

This story is the perfect portrait of a teacher crush that survives the schooldays without going any further.

Author: eudaemonia
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: 5,109
Characters: Minerva/Severus;
Summary:
October, 1987. Another encounter at the top of the Astronomy Tower. An outcome neither really expects

Why You Should Read It:

I love fics that have Minerva and Severus as almost unwilling partnters, and this one does it so well. Part ot the author’s “Nox Lumina” series about Minerva and Severus, this fic does what I love so much in this pairing: it recognizes the darkness that animates them both, and it doesn’t gloss over the problems–her age, his history, their history as student and teacher… it’s hot and very much in character for both.
