I love fics that have Minerva and Severus as almost unwilling partnters, and this one does it so well. Part ot the author's Nox Lumina series about Minerva and Severus, this fic does what I love so much in this pairing: it recognizes the darkness that animates them both, and it doesn't gloss over the problems—her age, his history, their history as student and teacher—it's hot and very much in character for both.
