As Minerva learns the strange magical consequences of a life unusually interlaced with Dumbledore's, failure to understand their connection and the secrets behind it could lead them to destroy themselves, or each other. [ADMM]
It's that rare combination of a slowly developing story that is also a page-turner. I wasn't certain what was going to happen until the very end, which doesn't feel at all pat, as many romances do.
I love the author's nuanced characterizations of Albus and Minerva--neither is perfect, but they're both trying so hard to do the right thing.
The magic in the story is deep and inventive, with fascinating twists and details.
