Written for the 2021 Snapecase, this is a short, wonderful tale of long, slow healing. Snape as a refugee from the war and the wizarding world is one of my favorite versions of him, and this is no exception. The uncertainty of the ending is perfect, both for the character and as metaphor for the aftermath of war.
