This story gives us a Poppy Pomfrey who works seamlessly with a sentient Hogwarts to serve the castle's inhabitants. She, and her elf assistants, are clever, intuitive, and sensitive, and the author subtly interweaves other magical canons into the story alongside familiar moments from HP. This is a beautiful story that is comforting despite the sad background setting of the war's aftermath.
